So he goes to cry to Waterbury and he gets this great quote from Mayor Jarjura; "I think in a primary you are dealing with a very limited audience." So why the FUCK! do they decide to run in a primary anyway? Why spend money and waste party voters' time when anyway regardless of the decision you are going to run? Because it is easier to run under a label. However, our friends refuse the label and then wonder why the base of the party rejects them.

The funny thing about Joe is that he supposedly refuses to play partisan politics. But in these times where partisan feelings are the rule, intending to go to the so-called center, is basically diminishing the strenght of your own side? If then, why don't you Joe switch to the Republican Party? Maybe because you're too liberal for them, what a conundrum. On one hand you have a guy who is too conservative to be a Democrat, on the other he is too liberal to be a Republican. That might be a good thing, except that you undermine your own party in the ISSUE that matters the most at this moment!!!!!!!!!! Dude, get over yourself and realize that many of us who rejected you did it because we had no option...we have to stand up to Bush and the Republicans and if you don't have the balls to do so, we do. We haven't become more liberal, just angrier.

Ned Lamont in The Colbert Report

Ned Lamont just appeared as a guest in The Colbert Report. Very pro-Israel in his views, no surprise in there. But this keeps me wondering what the liberal friends will say. Actually I sort of know what they will say. That Larry King is biased in favor of the homicidal Jews. But I ask you brothers and sisters, siblings all, when labels are attached to a whole race or nationality or people, aren't you using the stereotypes you claim want to get rid of? I haven't read any of the independent news sources (yet), which claim to be independent just because they will report the opposite mainstream sources report. I bet, however, that they will probably report only the Lebanese side of the story.

I don't deny there is a lot of bias on mainstream media, but two wrongs don't make a right. Just ignoring everything that mainstream sources say and adopting the opposite side doesn't make you a thinking person, just a rebel without a cause. I remember during my college days I started adopting ideas like communism, socialism and all the -isms you can adopt while going through the rebellion phase that college is. You know what I learned? I wasn't becoming a smarter person, I was adopting new ideas from those who told me I was being brainwashed by the state, the feds, etc. And those ideas I was accepting like the ones I was trying to get rid of. My liberal siblings, rebooting the brain and filling it with new information gathered as mindlessly as the previous information is not thinking, is just being lazy.

What I'm trying to say? The Middle East is a messy region, has been messy almost since the beginning of time, and that won't stop soon (for better or for worse). Taking sides is what makes these messes in the Middle East messier...and fanatism won't take us anywhere. The way to counter Larry King's bias is not with more bias, but with real in-depth analysis and discussion.

Where have you gone, Bill Clinton?

I know you're trying to be a "party man" but for a man who knows how to have a good time (if you know what I mean), you're certainly hanging out with some party poopers. One of the reasons I prefer Connecticut over some other places in the country is the fact that you can talk, interact, and discuss in a civilized way with conservatives. Most of the conservatives I've known in Connecticut are not "Jesus Warriors" but fiscal conservatives who could care less about who does who (not that there's anything wrong with that) or if we should pray to lord almighty before taking a piss because our bladders are working.

Then, there's Joe Lieberman. Kind of funny guy, who can forget the "Joementum" moment of zen? Still, I never understood (and still can't) why he is a Democrat. In the beginning when I was a rookie in Connecticut politics, I voted for him twice in 2000 (for re-election and for Veep). Now, almost six years later, I cannot understand why I did it (well it beats voting for Cheney). Over the years I've discovered that he is way too conservative for my taste and hoped that someone with a chance would challenge him (I couldn't since I don't meet the age and money requirements). Is Ned Lamont the answer? I have no idea but it beats sending Lieberman back to D.C.

Interestingly enough I was undecided until this week for whom I was going to vote. I could have still vote for Lieberman since even with all his anti-Democrat stunts he's still no Zell Miller. But when the former Vice-President Elect(ed) decided to run as an independent I decided I had enough. With the way these midterm elections are going, there's a chance that the Dems might recapture Congress (or at least the Senate); if he's a party man he should obey the wishes of the primary voters. But it seems he's more of a Lieber-man than a party man, and it also seems he doesn't believe in democracy, sorry Joe...you lost me at "independent"

Why, oh why?

What's going on with these so-called "liberals, progressives, revolutionaries?" Especially the use of the word "revolutionaries" makes me laugh.
